About a week ago, I was browsing online for motives I could make a study out of for my ‘Six-Still Life Works May Challenge’, I came across British painter Julian Merrow-Smith‘s oil painting <Still Life with confit pot and apples>. A wonderful piece to study and reproduce using pastel. And a great journey for me to explore the drama & poetry of the light, colour and shadow values.
